Season passes are ridiculous. It's like "Hey, buy our game, by the way, we have this content already developed, it should be included in the full game but we're going to make you pay an additional $30.KTHXBAI."

I'm hyped for Far Cry 4. I loved Far Cry 3. But I am not happy with this decision. I mean you're really going to make me pay $30 to fight a Yeti?

Nope - for the games i play I am pretty satisfied with the selections and quality from the respective DEVs and if a game is not a on a particular platform whether PC, Xbox 360/One than I leave it be. I am all for supporting the DEVs who make quality games but however that does not mean I am going to drop that hefty of a premium on a game or pay full price for what essentially IMO is an incomplete game.

I don't mind waiting a few months before buying a game when it's on sale, especially when there is DLCs in the mix. At least then I get a complete game for a reasonable price.

At the end of the day I vote with my wallet.

I have pre-ordered and bought like 15 AAA games in the last year or two and not even half of those I've been happy with or got the full experience because of DLC. I've not been very vocal about it, voting with my wallet has always been my style so let's hope everyone shares the same ideals as us on this subject and the game industry decides to get back on track.

Agreed!

These type of games are the ones I wait to go on extreme discount, are given away for free, or find a way to borrow it. Gaming today is a joke with all the cut backs of quality, resolution, frame rate, content and stupidly overpriced games. only game I bought this year was Guild Wars 2 and really only looking forward to Witcher 3 and GTA5 next year.

so my story is like this
i got myself AC3with a nvidia gpu card+AC2was too in the bundle. then i got myself for 16eur AC2(brotherhood and the other one)
but since out corporate overlords dont know what to do with themselves and i dont have that much time i didnt bought AC4 nor plan AC5
loved FC1, hated FC2 never finished it, loved FC3, dont see reason to get FC4. looks the same, but without water fun and scooters and boats.
watchdogs was the last thing i got from lazysoft and after unlocking all areas i wasnt interested to do any missions anymore. and am absolutely not thrilled by the crew or the division

COD, never played it, never will. ou and destiny is boring, watched lets play, doesnt interest me at all
i did bought BF3 and then BF4, but really i am through with EA, and am not interested in their new ME, BF hardline nor DAI

long story short, i am dumping my entire budged into star citizen. FC4 was last thing that interested me, lets say i will get it in 2 years on cheap
they no longer make good games

best

Just because a game has DLC doesn't mean they literally removed it from the game to sell it later, and it sure as hell doesn't make a game incomplete without it. For the love of god, loosen your tinfoil hats.

Man, you are really salty....

On the other hand, back in 1992 I paid $75 for Street Fighter 2 for the SNES, so I suppose $60 isn't too bad.

Not anymore, now they just make the game from the ground up with the plan of not giving you the full experience. thumb.gif

Man, I saw that at the mall, went home, and went on a quest of begging that my grandfather couldn't resist. It was worth it. thumb.gif

I remember paying $84.99 for a copy of WWF No Mercy on the N64. Games are cheaper now. They should go back to making those games. It might appease some of the people who are apparently forced to buy DLC. Drop the budgets so we can go back to 2001 in terms of production value.

I meant the comment about the tinfoil hats, though. The DLC model isn't a bad thing. You're just angry because they're selling more content. It's not content they've taken out of the game, it's afterthought.

Ubisoft are severely out of touch with their customers.. I don't care about the DLC soo much. It's not only ubi.. OK it kind of feels like a scam buying dlc at launch but whatever, it's not super expensive. Better than in game items for real cash whatever they're calling that.

But UPLAY is a piece of crap.

Tho they make some pretty nice games and release mostly well optimised PC games. So can't moan so much.

Still... Uplay.

Who even plays Far Cry online? I remember logging onto Far Cry 3 and playing and actually it was really fun but no one was online, like 200 tops and no communication.
