Throw your standing desk in the trash. Sitting, not standing, might be the best way for the 9-to-5 office drone to stay active, as long as they're willing to strap themselves into the Dynamic Chair--an exoskeleton-like chair that turns a sitter's entire body into a computer mouse. The gestures you perform to manipulate the cursor are actually the result of intense body movement studies done with with help of the Scapino Ballet Rotterdam’s dancers.

Instead of letting you just stare at your screen, the Dynamic Chair is designed to make every task physical. If you want to navigate around the computer, you move your arms, lean from side to side, and even move your legs. The effect is a little like seated tai chi.
Watch the video.

Watch that video...

For the love of ALL THAT IS HOLY.

WATCH THAT FREAKIN' VIDEO. lachen.gif

Makes no sense. Your trading in efficiency and ease of use for a more complicated setup and cost of a Chair and awkward positioning? Yeah It's more of a gimmick than innovation lol.

Far out that video made our entire office burst into laughter.

Not only do you look like an idiot, your arms will be dead in 5-10 mins.

Did they even think this through.

Now I can do Tai-Chi and spreadsheets at the same time.

Seriously though, this looks tiring.

Sweet another useless invention that will never take off.....money well spent. To be honest I often wonder if half of this crap is made by the Onion News Network lol.

Every time I think about motion based control in a regular browsing or gaming setup, no matter how cool it is, I can't help but imagine it failing horribly just because it increases the minimum effort required by at least an order of magnitude compared to a keyboard and mouse.
(My Logitech G600 has more than a dozen browser functions mapped to the keypad)

Positively absurd.
