I filled out the RigBuilder for 1 of my 3 computers & looked up the prices I paid.. 2 are clunkers.. wow, I just realized how much this thing is worth, probably the nicest computer I've built myself in at least 10 years.. lol.

4.41GHz (200 x 22) @ 1.38-1.39V (on load) ran all day successfully (RAM set to Auto/Auto). According to CoreTemp, it must've hit 56C at some point during the test.. but I'm staring at 47C currently.

Going to drop the LLC to High, raise the voltage one click, & boost it to 200 x 22.5 to see if it will take @ 4.5GHz.

yeah, yeah.. I ended up getting lucky and it worked.. but it was too hot. I backed down to 4.4GHz with LLC at High.. same voltage as earlier.. 1.38-1.39V..I did bump the RAM to run at the levels listed under XMP-1866.. for CPU vCore voltage, anything over 1.4V is just too hot on the air cooling I currently am rolling with.

I do have my Corsair 140mm fan coming tomorrow to side-mount, should put a lot of extra air around the CPU area.. will be interesting.

All attempts at maintaining thermal tranquility above 1.4V on load have failed.. so I am stuck at 1.38-1.39V on load @ 4.41GHz. I will test the waters once I install the new 140mm side fan tonight... I suspect it may make a 1-2C swing at absolute best.. which is likely not going to be enough to try 1.4V.. we'll see though. I may try and first kick up the voltage by one click and see how much heat it produces with the new fan without changing anything else.

I did 12 hours with a P95 Blend successfully. I did a few runs with IBT in Extreme as well last night.

You are using push-pull with a third fan in-line with the cooler pulling air out of the case?

Next step sounds like lapping an a re-seat to me.

I have 2 120mm fans in the front pulling air in.. I have 2 140mm fans on the top pulling air out.. i have 1 120mm fan on the rear pulling air out. I have my Hyper 212 Evo setup in a push/pull configuration.. higher CFM is on the bottom pushing air through the cooler, the lower CFM fan is on top pulling the hot air out of the cooler. I have 1 140mm side fan pulling fresh air in.

What errors exist in that?

For re-seating it.. Is it recommended to clean off all thermal paste and reapply? If I want to go that direction.

Get a beefier cooler. You can find used DH 14s for like 60 bucks in the OCN marketplace. It will allow you to overclock more.

My wife is getting me a Kraken X61 for Christmas.. so the Hyper 212 Evo will have to do for now. Those look very nice, I looked at the benchmarks.. I will be buying their case fans if I need to beef up any of mine or the radiator fans.

In other news.. I just got done removing all TIM with my ArctiClean set of cleaning solution.. Put fresh Gelid GC-Extreme on.. I think I got it perfect, going to run some thermal tests now to see if I have any improvement.
