So i haven't updated my equipment in a while and i would like to know

what you think would be a better solution

MY Current Setup

i72900K-3.40GHz Intel Sandy Bridge
1x 8GB Kingston Hyper X 1600 (Part #: 9905403-559.A00LF)
x2 4GB Kingston 1600 (Part #: 9905403-559.A00LF)
Graphics: X1 660 ti
Motherboard: Gigabyte Z68X-UD5-B3

Stuff i have laying around

i73820-3.6GHz (2011 Socket)
Motherboard: Sabortooth X79 (TUFF Series)

My questions are

1. Should i build off the i73820 Or keep my i72009k?

2. i wanted ASUS Rampage IV Black Edition LGA 2011 Intel X79 with the (i7 3820) Is this worth the swap cost wise and would my current Ram from my current setup work with this motherboard or would i have to buy need to buy new ram for this motherboard

3. Should i buy upgrades for my i72600k Or drop the i72600k And move to the i7 3820 (2011) Socket and upgrade that.

Basically this unit is used for MAJOR PROCESSING for Programming Work i need MAJOR Processing speed and transfer, So in all should i Upgrade my Current Setup? Or should i Start And build off the i73820 using the ASUS Rampage IV Black Edition LGA 2011 Intel X79 or is there a better motherboard for the 2011 socket? i understand all PC components except for the ram and CPU Compatibility's im still learning please any feedback would be greatly appreciated i would like to buy this unit tonight
