I fully agree with you. Me finding funny the whole situation(a guy screwing it then screwing it even more, hence the slow clapping hands) doesn't mean I don't find it a bit unfair.
I think that Mike Murderberk made a huge mistake voicing his concerns like that, even if it was just irony. He should have had more tact towards his distributor's CEO/God/Overlord. I also think that mistake will have huge repercussions towards his career, but I don't want those to be as HARD as are right now. A lesson, yes. Cutting his head off just when he's about to surface from the developer mud, at such a young age, is HARD.
And of course, I don't want his developer pals/company to be caught in the shrapnel rain. That is unjust at the very least.
But I can also understand how, after all the crap that has been going on the internet these past years, specially after Gamersgate Gabe Newell would react: reads that, doesn't know it's an ironic comment/doesn't care and thinks "Well, good sirs, SCREW YOU"
You know, I can be the devil's advocate for either part. Internet is at its most toxic state right now, and anyhting done to out stupid individuals out of it, I welcome
That said, a PROPER apology, the old-school apology, would work miracles toward improving those guys situation.
