The magic behind the hoverboard lies in its four disc-shaped hover engines. These create a special magnetic field which literally pushes against itself, generating the lift which levitates our board off the ground.

This right here instantly tells me that it's a hoax meant to scam decent people out of their money. Laws of physics violations generally never pan out, generally as in never ever ever.

They sort of say it works on any surface for the hovering but propulsion needs a "non-ferromagnetic conductor", so I'm confused, I would have made way more of the "hovering on any surface" thing if I'd just invented that!

They're going in with Hoverboards but my this would be so much bigger if true, imagine the amount of fuel saved if you make loading heavy loads easy to move around maybe even by hand - of course, stopping might be an issue biggrin.gif

Please remember to click on the "Report this project" button at the bottom of the page and report it as a scam, save some people some money, same as with that false "Anon-box" which wouldn't have worked due to fundamental security flaws.

Nope, not that. This:

We kept the Whitebox as simple and affordable as we could to get our technology out into as many hands as possible.
It is designed to be explored, taken apart, and analyzed, encouraging you to dare to wonder.

And in general, if they got working prototype and new kind of physics there shouldn't be any problem to find investor. Not any at all... I mean Elon Musk would probably throw money at them.
And costs now. Hooverpark. for 250k + hooverboards? What is this, park for ants?

Anyhow, if this somehow turns out to be viable they'd be millioners over night.

This is pretty neat and I can see this snowballing into inventions, as they hoped (at least according to video)

imagine wheelchairs using this instead of wheels haha thumb.gif
like many have said in factory work but what about in big toys, they said its scaleable.
like for construction? military? (maybe this is why bf4 has a hover tank now lachen.gif) space travel maybe in the future!! sure would solve the fuel issue.

we can only wait and see.

Indeed.

I am personally more excited by the prospect of hover cars and trains. Imagine: no engine (in the classical sense), no wheels, minimal moving parts, minimal wear! Longevity will be amazing. Forget about servicing your car every year.

guys this is not revolutionary. you need a steel/copper/aluminum surface for this to work on, pavement won't cut it. this phenomenon has been known about for decades tongue.gif

it's not a scam, but it's not really crazy exciting either...

We already have hover trains.

True.

Very few of them, though (3 public ones according to Wikipedia).
