What kind of issues?

That may be true but I'd rather have a short and rechargeable battery than changing it every 250 hours of gaming... And I mean't G700s. Through the reviews and explained videos, then from my experience that laser should be better for gaming, dunno what's the deal here with the sensor now?

Laser isn't inferior to optical. The ADNS9x00 sensor has a flaw and the PTE just exists to anger people. Unfortunately, those are our two "laser" options of today. Past laser illuminated devices have been just fine and didn't present the random acceleration that is present in current options. Again, the doppler sensors like the PTE are just sadistic liars. You have great stats and numbers you want to take advantage of, but when you try... It's awful.

Unfortunately, the G700 is an ADNS9x00 sensor. Just not up to snuff when compared to modern LED solutions.
a) That's right, actually, Laser is supposed to be better for gaming. b) I mean the G700s c) What now? Is there any problems with the sensor now? Cause I found it on eBay for 65 bucks and free shipping! =D

My single AA lithium battery lasted nearly two months. The battery life really negates any need to charge or be charged.

I personally can't hit over 2m/s because of my small pad conditions (that goes for any mouse I own) but rest assured you more than likely won't be hitting that PCS.
I neither think that I will hit over 2m/s if I would use the G602s and the G700s (I was thinking of) has i dunno, like 4.5m/s? Just read it on their website =)

Everyone! What's wrong with the G700s sensor? Just compared it to G602s on their website and G700s had more features I wanted =)

Lastly I'm ashamed to say I've owned more than a handful of wireless gaming mice. The G602 is in its own class when it comes to how good it is. This is the mouse to change the perception on wireless in terms of tracking, battery life, and latency. No other wireless mouse comes close.

No. Laser illuminated sensors are not better for gaming. Even the error free versions were inferior to led optical in things like perfect control speed. The big benefit to laser illuminated sensors was the fact that it would track perfectly well on a marshmellow if you wanted to. Their surface compatibility is second to none.

The G700s is an ADNS9800. Still the same sensor. Same flaws. There is nothing to be fixed here. It's just the way the sensors work.

So your saying depending on the surface? Cause I have a cloth mouse pad

This will help.

It doesn't say this, but cloth exacerbates the problems with 9500s and 9800s.

C'mon, CPate. You can do better than that. The first generation of laser sensors had no acceleration at all. Acceleration isn't inherent to laser senors; it was just inherent to the 9500 and 9800 laser senors, which manufacturers refused to stop using.

But, I guess that's why you look so upset in this video, lol. You're reading what someone else wrote.

LOL never thought of it that way but I'm sure he knows better. What he is saying is however, relevant to current VCSEL sensors on the market.

Isn't the 9800 the only one that's not EOL?

The current Sensei and Sensei RAW mice are all still 9500. The only 9800 is the MLG edition.

What's wrong with the G700s sensor is the inherit acceleration and sensor placement that can make things inaccurate. I've owned both iterations of the G700/s mouse and they are not as accurate as the one on the G602. Yoiu might be looking at the DPI numbers but rest assured the G602 center is miles better.

Considering you have a cloth pad the laser might go wacko plus the laser acceleration issues are amplified on a cloth mat.

That's true I guess the 9500 is still being made then.
