Bios freeze

Hello guys!

i need your guidance
whenever i boot the computer i got this error




then when the bios starts this error pops out. when i click the "OK" button it freeze cant do anything...




steps already tried.

> remove cmos battery for 6 hours
> click on the "CLR CMOS" at the back IO
> remove all components except video card and 1 stick ram .


i don't really know what happen cause this is my friends computer.

so any ideas?

He tried to overclock it with to big of an overclock. It won't run with that overclock. Hence the BIOS message that you have to change settings back to where they were.

Also, when you do a Bios reset you have to unplug the power supply from the mains. The Bios will only reset if it is de-powered and both the Bios battery, and the power supply (even if turned off!) will power the Bios chip.

And you only have to de-power the Bios chip for a few seconds to get it to reset.

There should also be a setting somewhere in the Bios to "Restore all defaults" or something like that. That should be the equivalent of a Bios reset.

Forgot to tell that i also unplug the psu.. Or should i also remove the power connector connected to the motherboard?

I cannot use the "restore to default" because it freeze when i click "ok" "view screenshot" ...

I will try it again thanks a lot..

ok so i tried it again, still showing overclock failed..

so can i just re flash the bios? and how if i cant access the bios.

Some motherboards let you reflash from a USB stick by pressing a button on the motherboard.
See your owner's manual.
