Hi everyone.

I'm looking to purchase a cutting dremel.

I know there is the Dremel brand series of rotary cutters, but those are pretty expensive, and I won't use it enough to justify spending the big money on the name brand.

I used to have a tiny little one, but it couldn't cut though anything harder than cardboard.
Looking to cut acrylic, plastics, and thin metals.

Looking for suggestions for good kits.
( I have amazon prime, and tools are alot cheaper on there than they are in stores )

The Black & Decker RTX is a good budget alternative. Three speeds (but it's actually variable between speeds) and it is compatible with most of the Dremel attachments. I've had mine for about six months now and it still works well.

Also if you're looking to reduce your costs I would also skip using the little rotary discs that come with it and get the heavy duty ones (go on eBay for good prices). They don't need replacing as often, and will be cheaper in the long run.
