Extreme Pings through WiFI

I have a desktop, laptop, and PS4. I'm currently at a university. My laptop and PS4 get extremely low pings over WiFi. My laptop around 10-20, while who knows what the PS4 gets, but everything seems instantaneous on it. However, if I'm using my desktop over the wireless network I get an unstable, high pinged network. I originally was using a $20 USB wireless adapter, so I figured that's probably the culprit. I ordered a Rosewill N900, which is 450mbps and had great reviews. It's a PCI-e adapter. I have gotten the exact same results with the rosewill card.... I have no idea what the issue could be, because I'm certain the rosewill card is probably spec for spec better than the PS4 and laptops wireless cards. Before anyone says I should use ethernet, I could and have the access to it, but for some reason DL speeds over ethernet are limited to 1.1MB/s.

I would of course use the ethernet only if it were not capped off like it is. I get around 15-20MB/s over wifi

Just because it can process more data 450 mbps opposed to 54mbps doesn't mean its speed (ping) will be lower. Is your desktop further away? What does the signal look like?

The laptop is usually further away when used for any sort of gaming. It's 4 out of 5 bars for signal strength.

What does the ping to your default gateway look like from each device?

What sort of devices are near your desktop? Are you connecting via 2.4 Ghz or 5.8 Ghz? Do you use wireless devices near the desktop? Headphones, keyboards, speakers - is your Microwave over sitting right by your desktop?

Basically, what other things sit around it that use electricity?

That looks like a public ip address for starters. I was just talking your internal default gateway.
