H80i running very hot. - Page 3

i would recommend HWinfo. and i can see you are talking about package temperatures and not core temperatures. I had FX 8320 and my package temps were 15-20C higher than cores. you should not worry about package temps (maybe if its like +80C).

haha my bad, it was late at night so i wasnt reading right

if you mounted correctly such as crisscross pattern and a dab of thermal paste in the middle then you can check the pump speed and fan speeds, if those are reading fine then the software temp readout/sensor is probably wonky or the unit itself... the only way to rule that out is if you have another cooler to prove it otherwise, if an alternative cooler yields the same results then it could be the software/sensor giving false readouts which could happen, unless you've used this before and have had lower temps readouts (prior h80i)

there is no where to get pump speed even with usb cable. that or corsair link was the wrong software to download.

okay after+ hours of stressing, i did the touch test and pcb and back plate are room temp. i can feel the pump and water flowing when i touch the pump and tubes. I've seen bad heat pipes and and stuff before the pcb and general cpu area get at least warm if not hot.

...so ...I guess i'm calling this one bunk and kicking it out the door.
