[PC Gamer/CVG] Assassin's Creed Unity system requirements rumoured to be steep[Confirmed] - Page 12

I'd just like to say that if the amount of objects rendered in the PC version is far superior (or at least, enough to justify this requirements) than the console version and that setting cannot be changed, than this makes some sense.

But again, let's all just NOT pre-order this and wait benchmarks and reviews, yea?

So what? Playing on a controller based GTX630/640 is better? Frame rates aren't the only benefits. How exactly? There is no way mathamatically what the Ubi$oft people are saying are correct. So while you play 900p @30 on the ''true gaming platform'' of yours, we'll play that crapton-rebel inspired regurgitated thing on a low specs PC and reject it for better games, most of which aren't on console. Got any problem? Play unmodded Skyrim, its the best experience you can get.

I'm not complaining. biggrin.gif

Still it remains to be seen if these are infact legit requirements or over-inflated BS. And if they are legit requirements, they better be worth it.

Decent developers understand the concept of scaling visuals to hardware, if the game runs on a PS4 then it should have been fairly easy for them to port a version with similar visuals that runs on a quad-core and a modern midrange GPU.

Your mind is blown by this? They are making this a yearly tradition. I expect it from Ubisoft anymore.

That's 12 (13 listed) Assassins Creed games in a 7 year period of time across various platforms (10 on PC)... I mean, at what point do people get tired of playing the same game two times a year?

What is there to get excited about by this point? You're some guy, you've got a VR fetish, and you play through a made up version of history sneaking around and killing people... I mean, ubisoft basically just craps these games out and people buy them by the millions... The hell... I can understand Console players, they don't really have other options, but PC, Pc gamers have access to a library of games that no console player can imagine . Why waste your time with junk that is forced on console players when you have access the ultimate selection of available games. I just don't get it man.

Because the different settings are interesting to explore. Thats why.

Seriously I like the franchise, i understand peoples complaints but I also happen to enjoy them despite their negatives

So, was it confirmed this is locked at 30 FPS on PC? I would laugh if this were the case.

Pretty much this.

The first is still my favorite of the series, since it was a concept I hadn't see before(Not that it doesn't exist in some game elsewhere)

Ezio's trilogy was little long in the tooth towards the end, with some odd gameplay choices. I didn't mind the tower defense but it was not needed.

The setting and story of 3 was fine, but Connor was a little flat.

Black Flag brought the series back, imho closer to what 2 did to the first game in terms of solid new gameplay and overall polish.

I'm interested in what Unity will bring. I stopped pre-ordering Revelations, but will probably buy after a month or 2.
