Download CIV:BE - FTA (x64) v1.0.0!

Let me know if you have any issues, but keep in mind it is fully alpha.

Current Features:

  • Multiple File Input
  • Bad Data Handling
  • Standard Deviation
  • Above X FPS Percentages
  • Frame Time Smooth: 2,3,4,5,10 ms
  • Merge Log Files Graphing
  • Individual Log File Graphing
  • Overlay Graphing
  • Performance Graphing
  • Frame Rate Variance Graphing

First launch the game and configure your settings, save them, and exit the game.
Then in your STEAM library, right click the title and go to properties. Here you want to set Launch Options to "-benchmark lategameview"
It wouldn't hurt to do this with a shortcut on your desktop so you can switch playing between the game and running the LGV benchmark.

CSV files should be located in under SteamApps\Common\Civilization folder.

FX-9590 @ 4.9, R9 295x2 @ 1018/1250

lategameviewDX.csv 33k .csv file

lategameviewMantle.csv 33k .csv file

DX was running with both GPU cores but only one with Mantle.

Either way, this is gonna be interesting

EDIT: Any way we can read these ourselves or you just whipping your magic up on a new tool now?

I will be just building a little GUI based application to handle the math. Make it easier on you guys. Should be faster than BF4 FTA though, especially drawing graphs.

Nice, Looking forward to seeing how it goes
smile.gif
From what I gathered though:
It isn't like BF4, it's a list of frame times in a row.
There should be a definitive number of frame times, I.e. it is a timed benchmark. Only the framerates vary.
I will have to do the heavy lifting statistically on my end but I enjoy that anyways.
I will need a few sample pieces of data, I will be downloading when I get home obviously I can provide some DX11.
This will work no matter what country you are in, i.e. the Belgians won't have an issue this time.

I will be taking requests on additional features, just let me get the first version out the door, then you can weigh in.
It should have most of the features BF4 FTA has if you are curious, link is in my signature.

I probably should put in what settings i used huh?

(lack of sleep isn't working for me atm)

1440p maxed out settings, if you'd like some 1080p results then i'll do a couple more runs

You can always force EQAA in the DirectX version with Nvidia Inspector/RadeonPro, heck you can even make your own weird/custom version of MSAA.

As for mantle... I'm not so sure. CCC has an option to force EQAA, but I don't know if it works in Mantle games.

Obviously you can force it DX, but we are talking about mantle.
I just installed the 14.9.2 Beta and no option for EQAA in game but i did a couple more runs anyways

Same settings as before:

lategameviewDX14.9.2Beta.csv 32k .csv file

lategameviewMantleBetaCrossfire.csv 37k .csv file

Just got crossfire working for Mantle, was just an option in the .ini file in My Docs

Using the Steam shortcut, fullscreen mantle works fine for me, but starting the game from the directory doesn't work for me either.

I'm using the 14.9.2 beta drivers, and I cleaned my old drivers out with DDU before installing them.

Should be able to launch it from there if steam fails, might be able to add the "-benchmark lategameview" to the launch options there as well i'm not sure.

As for full screen well i'm not sure man, unless the fullscreen box isn't ticked in game?

I updated to the samedrivers, did not clean mine out however. Probably a good move. I'll get to it late on I guess. Weird though that I did not have any problems before.

Hi!

Not sure what happened. I have ran the bench tool (thx for it) in 1080p and 1440p. I got higher avg fps in 1440p than 1080p. I use GTX 570 and it should run out of vram in that resolution.
I also noticed at DATA POINTS LOADED tab i have 8 in 1440p and 1395 in 1080p. I think this is causing the problem.

You will have to upload the benchmarks for me to see what's going on.

@All:
Noticed a major math bug that applies to BF4 FTA as well. Most systems unaffected, just very low end systems verging on bad data territory had higher than experienced FPS.

Already have it fixed, will be attached to the next release.
