What I did was just disable the cores and then boot up at stable 4.8GHZ classic 300FSB then calculate multi x fsb = the oc target and then press vadilate once i see the ghz change and then windows crash and there you go top ten oc on a custom loop 3x 240MM radator the instance crash only applied to my 5.2 and 5.12ghz oc the 5.32 was good enough to surive the vadilation and take a picture
*
*
*
She can take 1.81V idle wihtout over heating reaching a whooping 84C maximum but refuse to oc further becase the gigabyte mobo ain't good enough nothing compared to the 990gd80 msi i had when i first got my 8350 running a 128mb x300radeon gpu with a single sata 3hdd
*

Swapped out the asrock 970 for the gigabyte thought my gigabyte died before but it was actaully sshd in my raid 0 causeing the troubble
Also i reckon this fx4300 bin i have is a bull shi t bin that i have

For more information on my normal 24 settings go to this page

I think after months in the forum and although i don't care much about overclocks, i may as well give you your first rep, for prolonged bravery before the sight of high volts and contempt of death of your CPU. biggrin.gif (just don't it a habbit).

"High voltage sweeps my board. Silicon glory!".

That is what msi can do on a half dead 8350 before i updated bios and had to change to a gigabyte
because the north bridge multiplyer was locked so i was updating bios and then updated to a too old bios that only supports am3 cpu and that was it of the msi ....redface.gifmad.gif
http://valid.canardpc.com/sufunp
On a TPC 812 that will over heat once i push past 1.59V that normaly runs at 1.52V at around 72-77C max cpu temps it can upload vadilate and load the web without crashing
Didn't have a picture of this oc though
but had one for the 5.2GHZ that was on 212 evo thumb.gif

To be honest the gigabyte with the half dead 8350 was just gay no stable overcloks and still unstable even if it is not overclocked
before it went on gigabyte it needs a minimum of 1.40V core a full load to be even stable at full loads
and it runs on 4.3GHZ or 4.4GHZ wihout crashing
at 1.28V 4ghz sometimes it might not even boot windows
and no matter what clocks i give the 8350 it will not do any intense stress
so the only stress i use is mem test and occupy 8 cores but now its dead
since it overheated when desoldring and taking of the intergrated heat sink
As seen in picture
Also had a second fx8350 before i got the giabyte mobo, after i trasnfered to the gigabyte for arround 3-6 months i diledied the second 8350 first and it runs extremely hot and is extremely bull bin oc is equally bad as the haf dead needs equal amounts of volts to be stable but runs around 10-20C hotter
so i failed the delid on the second 8350 and ripped off the core
i was desprate for some oc action and crazy voltage on the nepton 280L
so i went a head and dileded it the half dead 8350
and that was it on that day
had to go back to a intel 2 core e5400
until i got a 4300
and now wating for a new amd cpu

Heres the link to the fx4300 clocks forggot to post it

Tetsuzo, maybe you should consider making a signature in bold letters, saying "Children, please don't try this at home". Some kid may be reading the forum and get the wrong idea about overclocking. biggrin.gif
