Do we need to do --protecton ?

Probably worth reenabling it i would think.

Having issues with Firestrike extreme. Keeps quitting part way through saying test cancelled by user. I don't. Time spy works fine and card now boosting to 2050mhz. Tomb raider benchmark running just fine.

Not sure if bios causing this, or another piece of software.

Hmm.. further testing with reducing power target to 115 stops the issue. Still boosts high, but 2035.

i think its unstable OC.
If you go higher in "load", so ....FS X or ULTRA, then the card will show instability faster than in normal FS.

I can pass FS on some OC, but cant pass FSX/U with it, for example.

After more testing i think so to. I reckon i will flash my original bios back. So looking like a non-oc strix is a failed strix oc, and if so, is not worth the premium over other cards. Need to play around with memory as well, as that doesn't look like it will clock well either (micron i believe).

Try FFXIV Free benchmark on MAXIMUM preset @ 4K (if you can, otherwise DSR 4x) for a much more reliable stress test. If you can pass this test 3x in a row you're pretty much fully stable.

Don't be surprised if you need to lower your overclock for this test. wink.gif

1 and a half benches with 4k DSR and Nvidia driver told me there was a problem. I'll turn monitoring on.

LOL.. darn you for bringing me this lol.

Thanks for the test suggestion. I decreased the overclock by 10mhz, and volts by 10 on the scale. Ran the FFXIV with DSR on for 45 minutes and performed excellent. Pretty chuffed. Thanks Laithan.
