You honestly believe Chrome and Internet Explorer are more standards compliant than Firefox?

*That Mario one is much better.

It is a shaky recording and his (free) camera movement is erratic (these cause the jerky impression). Mario has a mostly fixed camera behind the kart and constant, steady motion. Regardless, skyrim on 60fps vs 30fps is night and day ,even on youtube.

When it comes to HTML5, yes. Chrome is the undisputed champion. I never said anything about IE, although they have really stepped up their game with IE11.

You're right about Chrome (I shouldn't have mentioned it), but I mentioned Internet Explorer because other posts stated it was able to play the videos, and it's definitely not as compliant as Firefox.

I still prefer Firefox over all others because it's the only completely open source browser (among the most popular ones), has the most powerful add-ons (e.g. NoScript, Adblock Plus), doesn't install continuously running background processes like Chrome, allows you to control how it updates unlike Chrome, and doesn't track you like Chrome...

Don't laugh at 30hz 4k m8.

Very early 4k was for production / professional, those displays didn't manage over 30fps through the rush to get the next big thing out. But now we have 60hz 4k and all within less than a year at cheap prices. Early next year we will see 144hz 1440p IPS displays and even those in 21:9.

More screens are coming that can accept 120hz 1080p into a 4k screen and I believe by the end of next year perhaps by 2016 we will even see 4k 120hz screens and even before that overclockable 4k screens so long as they have Display Port 1.3 because that new connector can handle 8k and 4k @ 120hz.

So yea perhaps by 2016 we will be able to stream 120hz 4k youtube on premium accounts smile.gif

PC gamers are getting double or tripple the resolution of most console games at even 1440p and with 120hz + your getting 4x the amount of that resolution to your eye every second.

This. I very much welcome 60fps support (even though other video sites have had support for it since years ago) but I did notice a lot of dropped frames in the Mario vid. Still smooth, though.

Is there any reason why Firefox doesn't support HTML5 for YouTube or anything yet?
