I couldn't see paying $200 for the Overlord PCB kit, so I'm taking a slight risk, but the savings paid for the Panel in full. lol

Just double checked the PCB kit/display and it seems the display is discontinued. Was it before? And most of those cables look similar to the QNIX ones I have, with the exception of the inverter cable for the backlight.

Excessive blur? Why hasn't that been mentioned in the thousand pages of the Yamakasi Club or overclocking thread? I do not remember one word about that from anyone who owns this type of setup. NCX who has reviewed these at his site has been talking to me for months and not once has he mentioned this... He just tells me its the preferred gaming monitor out of the hundreds of monitors he has tested...

That really sucks, freggin hundreds of hours of research before I pulled the trigger and now this?

They have 121 PCB kits in stock. Display's? I do not believe he sells Monitors anymore as he now works a 12 hour a day job.

Not sure if you're being sarcastic, and yeah it's been mentioned countless times (with the yamakasi panel). You spent the time doing the research on this panel, I'm sure you know more than me.

Oh well, keep me updated.thumb.gif

Maybe I'll jump the gun and go for a 3x setup sometime.

Yeah the professional told me the only problem with this panel is something called Panel Glow, and maybe even the matte coating, but never once mentioned anything about a blurry screen.

Panel glow as in IPS glow.. that would be the least of my worries. I hope QNIX gets back to me soon; I'd really like to get this thing fixed.

Maybe I should just wait for 4k.

It only gets blurry if you try to overclock the panel pass 90Hz... at normal 60Hz to 75Hz it works fine...

Hmm so people actually purchase the Overlord 120hz monitor and get a blurry screen and then turn around and don't mention it in their reviews? Wow, that is deceiving.

Well at least you guys can count on me, as I will be mentioning it at the end of my build log. Once I see blur that is.

EDIT: OK, I was just told in PM, by one of the most informed panel sources there is, that the blur will NOT be noticed by my eyes unless I also have a 144hz or 240hz Monitor with Strobe Back lighting sitting directly next to it and running the exact same fast motion scenes. It is a non issue on this panel just like the 6 ms pixel response time. This explains why Josh has sold over 80 of these monitors without any complaints.

The ONLY issue for me is possibly panel glow and glass over a matte screen. Thank heavens, because I can remove the glass if need be. thumb.gif

In the future I will come back to mention what hz I managed to get and if I noticed this blur. However, that may be a while because I don't plan on upgrading my video card right away so no gaming will be going through this panel. For that my 1080p 55" 120HZ TV super fast SXRD is still the king.
