Big news! NiP not with Steelseries anymore! :D - Page 4

The only redeeming quality about SS mice is their shape, again thanks to input they took from pro gamers.

I have all their major mice, mouse pads and the 6gv2. I can say their products are sub par at best. It's a problem because they aren't any alternatives of gaming mice with good shapes. For instance the Avior that I have feels much better in every aspect compared to the Kana v1 that I am using. However because of shape I perform much better in game with the Kana, so I can't switch. Stuck to deal with bad buttons, bad sensor feel, bad feet placement, bad side button placement only because of shape.

I think companies who do a better job with components should try to use shapes similar to Kana, Kinzu, Sensei. It's a shame that the best mouse shapes are stuck with the worst company in terms of components.

I can ensure you that this isn't the case, but more along the lines of marketing material to give off the impression.

With that said.. an ex pro gamer (CS) was involved heavily with the development of the product (Xai), but it wasn't by means of feedback or input.

I highly doubt Forest will go from using a kinzu to an EC1. It wold be cool if zowie teams up with Get_Right to create a wider fk1, maybe a Zowie CA???? biggrin.gif

Most likey EC2, its nice to see them use mice they can choose though. Friberg with the g400s, gtr with fk1.

Not surprised. MX518 was also a very popular model amongst CSS players.

I think that guy should stand closer to the monitor

It's a LAN tournament. At LAN events you don't get a very big table. Most of the time there is no space.

It's much harder to see player models in GO. Sitting closer to the monitor helps you discern models and it makes it easier to aim at the small head hit box.

That's definitely a ZOWIE EC2 as the EC1 is a lot longer. Also, f0rest have always played with smaller mice since he went pro, so I doubt he'd pick the EC1 over the EC2. I'm actually surprised he's playing with the EC2 and not FK because of that as the EC2 isn't so small either. Great mouse however although the malfunctioning speed has got worse from EC v1 to eVo to eVo CL from what I noticed.

I fail to see how SteelSeries is garbage, their mouse pads are great, their shapes are popular and the Rivals up there with the Zowie FK1 (2 of the best performing mice on the market), I'm using a Zowie FK1 atm but I rather enjoyed my Sensei/Xai & Rival, the Sensei/Xai shape for me is the best and the feel I got from both of those mice were great regardless of the minor hardware accel, you can't exactly call their products garbage when there's so many people out there that love it and play best with it, I know I played my best counter-strike with the sensei/xai and probably still would, its not all about sensor performance and tbh other than the hardware accel its sensor performance was pretty amazing and still is.

I've had my 6gv2, Siberia v2, QcK Heavy+, Sensei, Xai, Rival, Kinzu for ages and never had a single problem with any of their products,
