help with a10 5800k

Thread Starter
I have an a10-5800k stock clock with stock cooler and a 4gb ram at 1300. A few months ago ,I think my computer got a virus then i reformatted it,but this time i used the graphics driver from amd and not the stock one on the asrock mobo. Back then i could run dota 2 without frame rate drops with decent settings but now it only runs 40 tops for a small amount of time then drops at 15-22 fps. I think the cpu is underclocking with the mobo heat regulator(maybe?).I'm in the Philippines so the weather might be a factor but i doubt it because my room temp isnt that bad and the humidity is somewhat fine. Also now even I cant run san andreas in highest at my native resolution(1400x900 ;_; ) without experiencing a small fluctuation in fps which i would describe as one sec its fluid ,suddenly its viscous-like slow jelly sumthin biggrin.gif keywords: jelly like transition, its like a smooth transition and not sudden framedrop . its like your car is running at 60 then i would suddenly be at 20 and back to 60 in a matter of .5 secs.

here's a timeline since my sentence construction is horrid and i might have missed some details:
1.)new,i can play dota 2 and other games fine(cant remember the games but im sure if i played them right now they would prolly run crappy too)
2.)virus,reformat and got another virus( which im sure i got rid of since my pc isnt lagging at all at desktop and everything else aside games and pc starts like 25 secs without an ssd and turns off at less than 10 secs
3.)current situation wherein every game lags even at lowest resolution and settings frown.gif

help guys! biggrin.gif

It s throttling ,you should run the GPU part even overclocked.
Clean the cooler , re seat it ,add fans to bring fresh air around.
Use Catalyst 14.4 and see how it goes.
And use 1866Mhz memory with it ,it s a great APU for 720p.
