Green Theme

Hey all, I'm Henry. I'm not really all too new here, I've been using overclock.net for all my overclocking needs and questions. Now since I can't really overclock my rig anymore until I get some money in, I'm gonna start doing some case mods... My case is a green Alienware case, if you look at my entire rig you'll see, I'll also post pics, that I just found in a dumpster while I was at work, no shame obviously... lol. I've taken the green plastic off the sides of it so far and I've been thinking about putting a window in it with something etched on it. Of course it's all going to be diy. The whole reason I'm posting on here today is to get an idea on the theme and name of my build. I do still have the plastic that came off my side panels, and I was gonna use them to fill the front back in. If any of you have any suggestions, ideas, comments, or questions, please feel free to post them here.

And again, any and all suggestions, ideas, comments, or questions, please feel free to post them here.

So I started talking around to people I personally know about this build, and they all kept saying something about an atom and a slime ball. So, be being the creative little booger that I am, I came up with a little something that some of y'all might like. Remember, this little design is gonna be etched into the panel window. And comments, suggestions, or questions, please feel free to post them here.

First of all I just wanna say nice find as they say a mans junk is another mans treasure... Now for me I'm a big fan o green and black so much that I have shoes and clothes green and black LOL! I personally would as much as a pain it would be I would dismantel the hardware and paint the inside and back black so that way if you have any parts green like wire sleeves, heat sinks, etc. they would stand out plus it would look better than that steel look. If you don't have any Id sleeve the wire green and black go with green LED fans as for the patching of the front try using Evercoat Everglass its like bondo but dries quicker and is stronger you'll have to sand a paint but I think you'll like the out come...... Post some pics of your work log I'd love to see the out come good luck!

Hey, thanks a lot for the interest in my rig. As for me, I also like green and black myself. The only thing that I have in my rig right now that's green, is that one fan in the rear on the radiator. I just recently added that blue fan in front just for some kinda intake, as I was running it with the side off and my bedroom window open. But now with me "finishing" up my custom panel window, I'm getting ready to join "The MOD" club for my GPU. As for patching the front, I was gonna use the plastic pieces off of the original side panels, trim, and just super glue them back onto the front. I'm going for as budget friendly as possible, as seen with the slightly used lexan that I used for the window. I have no money for say cable sleeves or anything like that. But I was able to talk to my dad into buying me an extra water cooler for my GPU as a late birthday/early Christmas present (along with some green led fans). I do like the idea of painting the inside black though. I'm gonna seriously consider doing that in the near future. Here are the pics of the current stage of the mod:

I'm sorry that it's hard to see it with it back on the case, I'm still trying to figure out what I'm gonna do to make it stand out more.

Hey no problem glad to be able to give you some advise and beluve me I know all to well about being on a budget I kinda like the blue LED fan it kinda sets it off and nice job on the side window are you going to leave it black? As for making it stand out more since you have those 2 fan vents on the side maybe adding a green and a blue LED fan to it but deffenetly paint the inside black it will make the colors stand out more keep posting your work like to see the finished work

So, I was sitting here playing on Diablo III, and just all of a sudden, my video card dies in my computer. Now, I know that everybody on here that play their games on PC, and I'm desperately asking if any of you would possibly have any kind of extra card that I could borrow until I get the money to buy a new one. It would be so greatly appreciated if someone possibly could. BTW, my card I've got is about 6 years old, and has survived through all the most intense games up until now... So it had a good life. Thanks guys.

P.S. If you have any questions about what my build consists of, please look at my profile, or just ask.
