When used by itself MSI Afterburner works great for me. I can record 30 FPS full frame uncompressed footage from any game with it to my dedicated RAID0 and have almost no real impact to my performance. Unfortunately, when I use NVIDIA Inspector to force AA in games, MSIAB recording wrecks my performance for some reason. Strangely, when MSIAB wrecks my performance I can instead use FRAPS w/LosslessRGB (even at 60FPS) and not have the same issue so this doesn't look at all like a hardware problem especially considering the fact that FRAPS is actually more demanding, with the added load of real-time encoding.

It seems to me that there is a conflict between NVIDIA Inspector AA and MSI Afterburner recording, or I have some weird bottleneck. Here is some more info below.

In Killing Floor, I get over 500 FPS in-between rounds on KF-Aperture without AA and no recording. If I add on Anti-Aliasing through NVIDIA Inspector, this drops down to about 300. If I record without AA, I get around 400 FPS. If I record with AA, I drop down to around 25.
In World of Warcraft I can get over 200 FPS outside of Stormwind without AA and not recording. With AA, I get around 120. Recording without AA I see around 90-110, and if I record with AA I drop down to 10-20.
Looking at the sky in WoW I can get around 400 FPS at 1080p. If I record here at 1080p windowed (fullscreen) with AA, sometimes MSIAB won't kill my performance totally but if I set it to Fullscreen or Windowed even at a lower resolution it drops me to ~15.

MSI AB versions tested
v2.2.1
v4.0.0

Drivers tested
327.23
337.88
344.75

FRAPS Version
v3.5.4

MSIAB Settings (This one shows 60 because I record @ 60 FPS when I run 1280x720, when I play in 1080p I drop it down to 30) Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

If anyone has any advice or something to say about this I'd love to hear it.
When WoW had in-game support for AA I was able to use 8x and have no problem recording with MSI AB. Same goes for Killing Floor, if I use the in-game AA, no issues. Killing Floor's built in AA is kind of weak but I can use it, and WOW entirely removed theirs recently so I'm kind of stuck using Inspector AA for at least WoW.
