It was a gimmick to begin with (using glasses dimmed screen as well lowering visual fidelity). Then Oculus rolled out and it had everything the pseudo 3d could ever do but far better.
Plus...a lot of us already have to wear glasses.
And wearing glasses on your glasses...is stupid.
Also these were "active" glasses...which means they are heavier.
It's on the ROG Swift isn't it? I think so anyway. It's still around but it's niche. The thing is the people that are into it are SO into it that I suspect it really is cool.
It got buried by UHD (aka 4k).
Something all of us can enjoy.
Also...3D failed because of a lack of open standards.
Nvidia was pushing their proprietary hardware and software.
AMD....also had 3D...technically speaking...I'm not even clear how you get AMD's 3D to work. I think you're supposed to use 3rd party software. Meh.
