I can run tweaked XMP profile at 3200 10h+ in google stress app without errors. If OC is stable it will run 10h+ no problem. If it is not then it will fail with errors. The other question is can we live with a bit of instability or not... I would probably accept 3333 profile with this results for testing with daily usage to see if instability is getting in the way but becasue it requires such a high bumps in voltages across the board for jump from 3200 to 3333 I am no longer sure it is worth it if it is at least no 100% stable
I bumped voltages slightly higher as it was close to stability and leaving it for the night again. I hope to wake up to clear logs and then I will start tuning down voltages again
to see if it is usable daily profile in the end
but I have a feeling I am chasing ghosts here. Looks like I have hit the wall with this ram
I have one more motherboard to try it with so will see maybe other board will bring better results. Also I should probably try other banks just in case.
BTW. My ASUS board has latches only on one side of DDR slots. What a nonsense. It seems almost impossible to take out RAM out of it as side without a latch does not want to budge
Any tips on some clever way of removing ram?
EDIT: Actually I should phrase it better. I think my limiting factor is a CPU as it seems to be on the edge with no room left to drive difficult load like this high density, high speed, low latency ram. Or maybe it is a bit of both?Edited by sebna - 7/7/16 at 3:00pm
