K70 vs RGB (MX Browns)

Are there any real differences between the two besides the RGB aspect of it?

I've heard that the RGB improves on the hardware used and is less susceptible to LEDs dying and whatnot.

I'd take a closer look at the RGB, heard that Corsair over hyped it and are having problems especially with the brightness.

well the non RGB has LEDs on the surface with the switch so it is exposed to static or what not. normal mechs have a frame around the keys to protect it but the corsairs dont.

the RGB ones have LED deep inside the keys with a plastic shroud covering it which in theory protects the LEDS better.

how you take that is up to you.

with my corsair RGB its not really as bright and vibrant as other LED keyboards and it bleeds light under the caps so the colours are mixed and not as well defined.

if you are getting an RGB for mostly static or very simple colour program options for per key then there are others like the razer and logitech which would offer better lights IMO but when it comes down to creating the ultimate light show you cant beat the corsair for the sort of effects and flexibility it allows.
