In normal operation (gaming, watching videos, torrenting, internetting, etc), my computer runs perfectly fine, boots from a full shutdown perfectly fine.
The only issues seem to arise when the computer goes into any sort of sleep mode. I watched my computer go to sleep and wake up improperly the other day, and what I'm noticing happens sometimes (or even fairly often) is that the cpu fan will shut down several seconds (up to 15) ahead of the case fans, and apparently the CPU itself also, because I'll get a CPU overheat warning beep from my motherboard. Then, when it wakes itself up (with no input from me, and wake on LAN and wake on USB turned off), the case fans spool up, but the cpu fan remains off, and I get a power failure notice. Unless somehow insufficient voltage is causing it to not wake from sleep when it can power up perfectly, I think my overclock is pretty stable.
you know I was having that wake issue too, I didn't get a beep just Num Lock lights up and nothing else. had to go back to F1, no dice, then to f2a again and clear DMI pool data during the flash. I think it was something funny going on with the USB wake support. When I changed both immediately to wake up (keyboard Any Key AND mouse double click) at same time, I had problems on F1 and F2a. Then when I cleared the DMI pool on the F2a flash and enabled keyboard, reboot, suspend, test; and THEN mouse double click, reboot, suspend, test. only THEN did everything return to normal.
so you might have run into the same bug as me.
