Note** In the distant future i hope to OC and purchase myself coolers.

If it were me, I would get a GTX 970 instead of R9 290x. They are pretty much the same price, but the 970 is quieter, cooler, has more VRAM, and beats the 290x in pretty much every benchmark [source]. Also, you will likely be able to push the card a little more with a bit of OCing. I'm sure you could find one in the color you want. MSI has one that is black with small blue accents on the fans, and there are also tons grey and black ones.

Take a look at the Corsair Vengeance pro's, Kingston Hyperx Fury's, or Avexir Core series (if you want led's). They are plenty of other choices out there, but you didn't mention what speed or capacity your looking for. Your gonna need a good cooler for that cpu at stock. 120mm tower cooler or 120mm aio at the minimum imo. Also your powersupply is way overkill unless you plan on running 3 or 4 290x's. A 550w would have been fine if your running 1 card with modest overclocks.

I mainly chose this card because all components being AMD in a way is cheaper and I Hav heard mixing AMD and other stuff generates errors and incompatibilitys. I plan to play a game that is coming out in a long time called star citizen.

H100 sorry forgot to mention cooler.

The H100 should do a good job of keeping the cpu cool.

100% False tongue.gif Amd's hardware plays just fine with Nvidia/Intel's.

Jenova69 is completely right! Also, even though AMD is usually cheaper, AMD will not save you money in this case. You will be spending more money for less power if you get a 290x.

What resolution are you playing at? The 290x will be as fast or faster than a 970 most of the time, especially above 1080p.
