choose whichever you feel is best! Ive had a crucial ssd for some time and it works great. One of the leaders in innovation for desktop memory if my memory serves me well.

GL bargain hunting!

I remember paying nearly 4x that price for a 120GB Vertex 3 back when they launched.... 900x900px-LL-0bfd0bc2_Emoticon-Facepalm.gif

I suppose this is the retailers' way to clear stock of the older flagship mainstream SSD to make way for the new Crucial (Micron) MX100.

It's a great price for the M500 if you want to replace an older Windows 7 PC HDD or two with a cheap reliable SSD from a major manufacturer (Intel/Micron aka IMFlash, Samsung, Toshiba make NAND ... Sandisk isn't really known for SSD ).

I just read this article on Forbes that said Seagate and Western Digital are in trouble if the price drops keep happening on mainstream SSDs as their own SSD offerings don't have a uptake as strong as Intel / Samsung (http://www.forbes.com/sites/greatspeculations/2014/12/04/a-look-at-the-ssd-market-where-do-seagate-and-western-digital-stand-2/).

Just checked my SSD is now almost full and I'll need another one. Should I get this @$80 or the 840 EVO 250GB @100? Checked reviews the evo seems to be better in performance but I wonder if that is noticable irl. But $20 less. Very tempting still.

Update: bought one smile.gif
