For better or worse, 2014 was kind of a flop.

Looking back at all the product announcements in 2013, I thought we were going to have a nice throwback to IME 3 inspired devices but that never happened. Zowie’s CL devices flaked/peeled. CM didn’t exactly deliver. The Rival was kinda meh. Razer went the way of sparkles and rainbows.

Sure we had a couple of nice things, but these were overshadowed by ridiculous glowing transformers and unicorns.

What do you hope to see in 2015? Which companies will lead us to salvation and which companies will continue to herd the flock of sheep?

May 2015 be a blessed year for us all.

I hope that the G700s gets an update.

Same shape
Upgraded OMRON switches for all G Buttons, this is what lets them down atm, the G8-10 buttons tend to get stuck in the outer casing and have no tactile feeling
The upgraded Pixart sensor
Low input lag/latency switches, better than the Bloody.
Braided only and a cable that isn't like pulling a garden hose.
Optical would be nice too
Extending out the thumb rest a bit more
Some rgb illumination
Sniper button near thumb rest (but I can leave without it tbh)
About 20-30g lighter
No tracking issues when low lifting
No nothcy scroll wheel like in the g505.
Better material than ptfe for mouse feet that doesn't pick up crud or starts to peel off after a few months.

I can only dream

I'd like to see Spawn v2, same shape with a better sensor and no software like Xornet.

Dream: Sensei shape with any decent optical sensor, which will probably never happen since Steelseries only create gimmicky useless crap. From Logitech, G100s with sidebuttons (even 1 per side), fully hydrophobic coating, or a g302 with a g100s back. Also, a G402 without the sniper button and a longer thumbrest would be good. Or a lighterweight G502 with a rubber scrollwheel and without the useless buttons.

From Asus rog a lighter Gladius. From Razer 3988 Taipan or a fixed version of Abyssus.

EXACTLY this, the G402 would be absolutely spot on, please get rid of that stupid 'sniper button' so mid nineties crapola, bolting on stupid extra buttons for no real use.

Wish they just produced a decent upgraded G400 instead of this gimmicky rubbish.

Well the mouse is very good as long as you grip it before the sniper button. The slight problem with it is that the shape isn't symmetrical nor do the sides make sense, on the left side the thumbrest makes you push down and rest your thumb, sort of like the deathadder. The right side, you have to put pressure from underneath. This makes you tilt the mouse and pull up, which creates imbalance. The amount of buttons is not the problem, but the placement of the sniper button. This mouse is not for palmgrippers but for people who use hybrid grip or only grip 30-40% of the back part of the mouse.

As for the clicks and sensor, they are sick. I personally prefer the feeling of the am010 over other sensors, even 3366, since it feels a tad more raw.

Regardless even having THAT stupid so-called sniper button, just ridicules Logitech's attempt at presenting a "Gaming Mouse".

So having that magical button suddenly makes it a REAL gaming mouse now, as opposed to other manufacturers who didn't add one? Would rather have a genuine G400 that includes only two side buttons as any real mouse enthusiast knows.

Logitech went backwards with the G402, instead of making a better shape they started attaching extra buttons for no real reason than making the G402 look like some cheap Chinese gaming mouse selling for $7.00 on Alibaba devil-smiley-019.gif.

Sorry for my rant BUT Logitech is really pissing me off with these releases and further highlighting their inability to produce serious gaming mice.
