3 Restarts to get my computer running

Thread Starter
Just happened recently. I've been finding myself restarting my computer 3 times in order to get windows to run. Within the 3 times, it will always freeze after I put in my PW to login to my computer.

Just want to make sure I make the right approach to fix this. I read it could be either a bad PSU or a bad hard drive. I Had my hard drive tested and it was good. PSU is next.

Before I switch the PSU is there any other possibility's it may be? Anyone else encounter the same issue?

Current PSU - CoolerMaster SilentPro 1000w

Switch to a Corsair HX850w

If I understand you correctly, your computer is freezing after you log in...

This could very well be an issue with your graphics card, I believe it is at that point in which the machine switches from onboard graphics to your dedicated card. I recently had an issue where my machine would hang at this point and it was my GPU.

You don't have onboard VGA, so your best bet to test the card is to put in a different card and see if the issue remains.
