Pixelated Texture/Object Pop In? - Page 2

Hmm, well my GPU's temps and VRM temps are never over 75C, and the card is rated to artifact at 95C.
My GPU is stock, and increasing/decreasing voltage or power limit doesn't change the rendering issues.

I honestly think at this point that it isn't a hardware, driver, or other issue. I think it is how the games themselves are coded to render textures and objects to optimize for hardware intensity.

Can't be a temperature problem because this happens under Water too. It's either the game engine or some problem with Drivers that have never been fixed because its been happening for years now.

I literally have this same problem with Saints Row IV and Mafia II. I've removed and reinstalled the drivers to no effect. I even turned off my overclock to see if that was causing the problem. I have a Sapphire 290x Tri-X and a liquid cooled FX-8350 and both games suffer from stuttering and pop in. It's been frustrating to say the least. I've been contemplating just breaking down and getting a GTX 980.

I beleave what you are experiencing as artifacts / glitches is simple a new method game developers use to make model pop-in less noticable.

So instead of a model simply swapping, it like gets build up in this grainy shape.

Just a heads up, if you have an 8350, it probably isn't the 290x. I think it's being slightly bottlenecked, you shouldn't get stuttering.
I had stuttering with my 8350 and 290 until I got the 4790k. Now all games run smooth and the same 290 now runs faster and at 100% usage.
I would get a 4690k or better before you get a new GPU.

I have concluded that the pop-in is just a part of these games design, so they don't render everything at once
