Hi guys im after some advice or help.
Im doing a wall mount pc, if you have a look at the maxplank. Each component is mounted on plexiglass and has an led strip behind it so the outline of the component glows nicely.

I have done the same however the edges of my plexiglass are very dull, it is not carrying the light through. The photos below are in a darkish room and in good light you can barely make out that there is led strips there.

Is it the quality if my plexi? Is it because of the carbon vinyl? Does it help to sand the surfance and make it rough to absorb more light?
Advice to fix this would be great.
If you have a look at the other wall mounts they have a nice even glow all the way around. I have used full length strips that was just bogied for a demo, i even have 2 behind the mobo and still not as good as id like it to be.

Just taking a shot at this, perhaps a reflective backing will help.

I once made halos for my headlights using a blind rod (clear acrylic rod used to adjust your blinds. To do that I curved the blind rod, drilled holes in each end, and inserted an LED into each end. The last step was to put aluminum foil on the back half of the ring, this made a huge difference, the light couldn't escape from anywhere except the front.

Try just using a sheet of aluminum foil and putting it tight against the back of the plexi board. If it helps, great! If not, you're out a sheet of aluminum foil and maybe some clear tape to prototype it.

If it works, perhaps just use some spray glue to put foil on, or foil tape or whatever you want to do, just try to make it so light can only escape from where you want it to. May be wise to put a foil backing between the vinyl and the plexi as well.

That's just a shot in the dark though from what I've learned in my own experience.
