I think I will go try the UC50...!

I'm hoping the new G-SR will have fixed this.

according to Zowie, the G-SR only has a new rubber backing, not a new surface. I'm going to skip this one until I hear more from experienced users... frown.gif

and @mitavreb (bervatim? verbatim...? biggrin.gif) it is indeed a fantastic mousepad, but it is not single coloured and that seems to cause slight inconsistency with tracking frown.gif
I do like it though, very close to ideal mousepad. does need new mousefeet that are thicker and a bit rounded though.
but as @Nivity says, the texture is very rough if you move your entire arm on it...

and regarding the Infensus, I did try one, but it was a friend's and it wears out really quickly it seems? he only had it for 2 months (well he's a competitive csgo gamer, so he plays a lot) and it was already way noticeably worn out in the middle. frown.gif
G-TF speed just feels very inconsistent as well, and mine is very worn out. I got it over a year ago though.

@Ricey20 I'll be sure to let you know! going to test an UC50 today.

@justince as you said the extended one is too "short" height-wise, doesn't really work for me.
the rest I agree with completely though. yet to try the DeX but wow it is tiny... redface.gif I might try to find a store that has it on demo.
my G-TF rough I got many years ago is also completely worn out, but I only used it for maybe 6 months. tried washing it but to no avail.

@Azmath sounds like you maybe get more stable aim with the QcK Heavy, but it could just be a matter of what you're used to. my friend has both those pads as well, but has been playing on the QcK Heavy for gosh knows how long. since it was released, basically. so he thought the Artisan was too fast and just gave up on it.

thanks for the help so far guys, I think I am narrowing it down to some candidates.

Both have been washed and the medium came out rougher which I prefer. They also sound very different.

There are more counterfeits of Razer products than any other PC gaming peripherals. The Goliathus is by far their most popular mouse pad, and most popular non-mouse product. Theres a good chance one of your two is a knockoff.

Yeah this crossed my mind that one of them could be fake. I'm suspecting it could be the large one because I bought this just last month but it did came with a box. The medium is a year old.

The texture is the biggest difference between the two. The circles in the medium are deeper, looks bigger, and more defined while the circles on the large are flat or shallow, and it looks smaller. Running my finger on the texture of both pads, the medium feels rougher while the large is smooth. The second letter 'R' on Razer logo is drawn differently on the large version but this could be a misprint.

Overall I'm quite happy with the large version and I'll keep washing it until I get the right roughness but most importantly it doesn't seem to cause any tracking issues with my Naos 7K.

i have a fake one, i like it better than the real one my friend has..i mean lets be honest, it's a mousepad...razer's getting them made in china too, the "fake" ones are around the same level of quality in terms of worksmanship

hi sorry for thread resurrection... I can't get my Zowie pads to stay flat, so I'm giving up on those for now - also the GTF-X is a little fast, and the static friction on G-SR is a bit much.

anything new the past year that is worth considering? or anything overlooked?

I guess I like Goliathus Control the most still, just not a fan of the looks (I know I know... shouldn't care...) tongue.gif

using G Pro, so would go with that, if that matters for tracking purposes.

Dechanic Control mouse pad is exactly like a Goliathus Control but much better build quality and comes in black. I'm using one right now.

Don't be sorry, thank you for doing so. I was also looking for a solid colored Goliathus control replacement.

Thank you for posting this, I will most likely snag one of these soon.

I'd be pretty wary of this product
