hi,

i already ordered an s5, i am waiting for delivery, here you can see what i ordered exactly

im trying to sort out some radiators for it, one 360 in the top, and one 240 in the front. i really like the look of the aquacomputer airplex ams rads, but im really worried that they wont fit.

my plan is to put fans in the front bay 2x sythe gt, and then mount the 240 rad behind them. and the same in the top, 3x sythe gt, with the 360 rad underneath

240 = http://shop.aquacomputer.de/product_info.php?products_id=2700

360 = http://shop.aquacomputer.de/product_info.php?products_id=2710

i also need to mount the aquaero 6 in the drive bay at the top in the front.

does anyone know if these will fit ok? im worried ill order the wrong stuff (as usual)

My S5 is actually configured the exact same way as your so that is what I was basing my suggestions off of. So to answer your question, yes and no. It will help by not having the in the case and giving you a bit more wiggle room but the rad will still take up a lot of space in the main chamber.

This is a S3 with two Black Ice SR2 rads that are 60mm thick. The AMS rads are 63mm IIRC so like I said it will come down to the millimeter.

the ams are :

240 = 284×146×63.5
360 = 404x146x63.5

and the black ice sr2 are :

240 = 278x133x60
360 = 398x133x60

so the airplex is a little bigger in all dimensions.

hope a case labs rep can answer this

i guess 2x240 would be a safe option, but im also worried about clearance of the rads at the port sides, is there much room on the other side?

Hi Mike,

Sorry for the delay. AMS rads are great, but yes, they can be a pain to mount because of their size. I have a AMS 360 and I had to modify my mount to make it fit the way I wanted it to.

I wish i could tell you it wont be a problem, but without spending the time to mock everything up, I'm not sure how well it will work. Base on the image Pheozero posted I have my doubts. Here is what I suggest if you really want to go with the AMS 360 and 240; contact Aquacomputer and get a printout of the rad dimensions (they are pretty good about doing this). Once you get the case map out the rads and see if it works. It may be the long way of doing things but it's the best option I can think of.
