So,

In January I'm planning on buying a new PC and I've decided to use the Athlon X4 860K as my CPU.

The Build:

Mobo: Asus A88XM-Plus
CPU: Athlon X4 860K(duh!)
Memory: Kingston HyperX Black Series DDR3 8GB(2 x 4gb) 1866mhz CL10
GPU: Gigabyte R9 285 Windforce 2X OC Edition
HDD: WD Caviar Blue 1TB
PSU: EVGA 500W 80 Plus
Case: Zalman T4

I'm pretty satisfied with I've chosen so far, but one thing just keeps me awake at night and that is: will the 860K bottleneck the R9 285. I'm pretty sure it won't but I need more opinions. This is my first PC build in 7 years and I'm not sure of anything anymore. Halp?

Edit: http://www.kitguru.net/components/graphic-cards/anton-shilov/possible-geforce-gtx-960-launch-date-and-price-revealed/

Should I consider the GTX 960 instead? I mean, even if the card will release one month later I still reckon that the GTX 960 will outperform the R9 285. Will it be bottlenecked? I SERIOUSLY NEED HELP!!!!

What's your budget and at what resolution will you be playing?
The 285 is probably not the best choice valuewise, and if you're going to OC the 860k, you won't be CPU bottlenecked at 1080p by really anything.

I'm also wondering if you are using that case because you already own it. I'd recommend a different one if not.

My budget is 686$. I'm living in Romania and our prices are pretty high. I've considered the Cougar Spike due to its recommendations but the thing about that is it doesn't have nice cable management from what I've seen. I'm planning to run the 860K with Turbo Core on since I don't have enough money for an aftermarket cooler, perhaps later on I'll buy one and OC the CPU then. I'll be running games at 1080p.

I'm not sure where to source parts from since you're in beautiful Romania.
One thing you could do is buy a cheaper R9 280; you get an extra GB of VRAM for less and it would be able to play everything at 1080p. The savings from that could be used to buy a 212 EVO for a cooler or skip the cooler and add a small SSD.

Here is what I did:

Memory: Corsair Vengeance LP DDR3 8GB (2 x 4GB) 2133 MHZ
GPU: same one you chose
Case: NZXT S210 Black(we don't have the S340)
PSU: same one you chose

The thing with this setup is that I go overbudget by a lot(too lazy to the math right now but it is overbudget in our currency). I would much rather keep everything I've added so far except the GPU and I'll probably go for the GTX 960 which supposedly comes out about the same time I'll have the money. What do you think?

Can you link me to the site you are going to order from?

http://www.mediadot.ro/wishlist/52269/ This website has the most resonable prices in our country and one of the best selections of components in our country.

The total must be around 2500 RON.

Forgot to mention that when converting from USD to RON the amount of money I have is about 555$, my bad.

Your original build really isn't bad at all, the only difference really being the R9 280. Its not going to be too much different except having a little more headroom for newer games VRAM capacity.

I don't think it would be bad, no. You could step the motherboard down a bit too since you aren't going to be overclocking much by the looks of it.
Step the motherboard back, get the better case and the GPU you want.

No problem. Post some pics when you're done.
