Got some more stuff ordered for this!Beastly part #1:QNIX QX2710 Matte Monitor
I plan on building a enclosure for the back of the desk to VESA mount the monitor to. I also plan on taking my logitech mids and highs and mounting them in the enclosure. I may a quick sketchup to give a general idea of how it'll be. The depth of the enclosure will be just enough to fit the tv and a little breathing room. This will give me more desk space, as well as study the monitor.
Sketchup is below:
Behind the tv in the enclosure I also plan on doing some adalight or ambilight with a rasberrypi. Example is below:Lightberry Youtube Clip!Beastly Part #2:
I still need to add lighting to the inside of the PC compartment. I tried one of the RGB strips but when doing white, the RGB at full brightness makes a rainbow effect glare on all my components. After being disappointed with this, I started doing research. I came across adafruit Neopixels. these are individually addressable LEDs by using a micro controller to program what they do. I plan on using an arduino to control them and may possibly even build a 3 slider control station to control the colors of them. If i don't do that, I will create a desk utility to quickly control them. I will also use it to monitor temperature and if the CPU or GPU temp rise above a certain setting, it'll change all the LEDs to a pulsing red.Adafruit Neopixel Demo
This will be used when watching movies, but mostly for when playing FPS. I will also have this connected to the temp sensor.
Let me know what you guys think! Open to all suggestions
