My only question now is will 970 SLI 100% work with 3770k @1080p?

i hear these one's are the best.

Its possible to overclock these to 980 speeds?

lol dude your going to run into the same issue since your still trying to do 1080p r9 290x, r9 295x2, gtx 970, gtx 980 wont really be able to stretch their legs at that resolution. Now if you went to a 1440p or 4k monitor then yeah i could see you having the 970 sli's but your probably going to run into the same issue with that 1080p.

He isn't though.. He had his friend let him use SLI 780 Ti's and he did not experience the problem he has been trying to fix throughout this thread.

If my 1st gpu is at 70% my second is usually around 65%-70% i've never seen my gpus go 2 seperate directions like his does. to me there was an issue with his setup, either from settings, throttling or an issue with his hardware. If anyone else has had the same thing happen to their crossfire or sli please correct me if i'm wrong if that is normal.

As far as vrm temps couldn't he have used gpuz to show us his temps plus vrm1 and 2?

would of still like to find out what the problem was but oh well he went with sli cards already hopefully the same issue doesn't crop up.

Yes I'm quite aware. I've been following this thread since it was started. I was simply saying that him buying 970's was not going to continue to give him he issue because he already swapped for 780 Ti's and they ran perfect in the same system.

So whatever the issue with the 295x2, it's not going to carry over to his next GPU's.

This made no sense. I run Trifire with an ASUS 295x2 and a Sapphire 290x with equal utilization of gpu under ab measurement for games that don't even have a specific XF profile.

I got to laugh at you I own a 295x2 it's paired with a 3970x cpu at 4.3ghz and in bf4 all settings turned up to max I get a 154 fps on 1 1080p pannel I'm guessing it's the drivers your using I'm using 14.12 omega drivers and my card is oc core 1135 mhz and ram 1362mhz it's the stock aio cooler and I get zero thermal throttling on the gpu's also I'm staying aT 72c on the card I'm guessing your issue might be what driver version your running and also case airflow

Do you have the Bottom option in that pic turned on in your CCC? It really makes all the difference. Also try turning the frequency on your monitor down to 120Hz. Just a thought.
