Hello OCN. This is the 4K information and discussion. I believe this will provide good information for those switching to and planning to migrate over to 4K. I'm gonna start with listening some models and reviews for 4K monitor and if anyone has used them, feel free to add on.

I personally have this monitor. It was difficult to start with. You most have the most up to date drivers with this and AMD had to do there part with this monitor driver wise because of some weird refresh issue, I paid $600 for mine and I think it was very worth it. Great picture good features and the on board speaker aren't too bad.

In another thread, a user said he was using it. I didn't even realize it was available yet. I would love to hear what the user thinks of it and a link to some good 2.0 cables.

I believe you are talking about HDMI 2.0. Not USB. And I can't speak for HDMI myself as I find it easier to use DisplayPort 1.2.

At some point this year I'm going to get 2 more 4k monitors to run a 3 way surround setup in 12k. I have yet to see anyone else doing it so I figured, why not get ahead of the pack?

thumb.gif Mad props man. I kinda want to do the same. Do you actually have it planned out? It would be cheap to drive, but the monitors would be a killer. 3 290Xs could drive it well.

I am using a single 970 as a temporary until big maxwell release. I'm going to get the 980ti or whatever comes out and SLI them.

That would probably do the job. I'm really eager to see what the big maxwells do with 4K. I'm debating getting to sli 980s, but I don't know.

i have a build going to happen and i am thinking not to get the two 980s now and wait. I will just get one 970 and see how we go. As 4k will be the big thing this year i think smile.gif

UHD Alliance This is good news for anyone using 4K and interested in the future. I read this essentially means 4K won't go the way of 3D television and will be the future. We are just ahead of our time.
