My home is strictly streaming services, and everyone loves it. Even for shows that my wife watches that cost us $25 for the whole season via streaming, it is still a far better deal. Instead of ~$210 a month we paid for our top tier TV package, it is about $60 per year for very specific shows we want to watch via direct subscription to them. Then the monthly cost of about $27 for Amazon, Hulu, and Netflix on top of that.

Basically we now spend one months TV package cost for an entire year of excessive streaming, give or take depending on shows.

Netflix and Amazon both offer some 4K streaming. While limited, it seems to be catching hold a lot faster than I expected.

They are obviously getting ripped off, makes me mad just thinking about it. As I was talking with the sales/csr, I'm telling the lady I want to lower their monthly and the woman is trying to up sell me on their biggest plan, lol. rolleyes.gif

That said the plan is to get the 100mb plan at 45 a month, no tv, give them my old cablemodem, and install an antenna on the roof.

Nods, yea we dropped cable a few years ago too. The prices they charge are just obnoxious. Anyways, my mom's account is finally fixed. It only took a few hours, and lots of yelling. I had to buy some gear, router, modem, antenna etc, but after like 3-4 months it is paid for lol.
