very very silent 120mm - Page 4

I haven't heard the others, but can highly recommend the Noiseblocker BlackSilent stuff, including the PL-1, PL-2, and PL-PS. Hands down the quietest fans I've ever used - no bearing noise, no airflow noise, and consistently high build quality. Drastically quieter than the CM Megaflow 200mm's used elsewhere in my box.

I'd recommend the PL-2 over the PL-1, though. The PL-1 does a fine job (I used to use it for rear exhaust), but there's virtually no audible difference. Super low start voltage, too.

I had BlackSIlentPro expirience and took him away because of annoying hum when reaching 700-800 rpm speed. Also I heard a loud sleeve rusltling few times, like it's a cheap dying noname fan. May be bad sample though. May be non Pro version would be better.

Apparntly this can happen with cheap fan controllers and alot of fans, were you running them off a fan controller or the mb? My fans would hum/buzz at lower rpms with the nzxt sentry mesh 2 fan controller.

MB, but two fans on the one jack.

The winner is clearly the Gelid Silent 12. It's motor noise, is more silent compared to the Fractal R2 and Enermax TB Silence UCTB12.

The Fractal just had an small awfull hum noise. And the Enermax started on the same noise after around 10min.
The Enermax fan, has however best airflow. It could just be, that I got a bad unit. Because the reviews from newegg, says the Enermax is a very good fan. What do you think?

I used two of them in my 500R. they very near silent with no motor noise. could be the way they are mounted. I see many fans make noise when mounted horizontally in cases.

Well I tryed two new Enermax TB Silence UCTB12, and the nosie were pretty much the same.

So final conclusion so far is that neither of the 3 fans below, are that silence at all

Gelid Silent 12 120mm
Fractal R2 120mm
Enermax TB Silence UCTB12

I'm just going to stop ordrer new fans now. Otherwise, this could be an endless loop of ordrering new fans, with a standard frame. I wish I could mod the pc-case front fanholder, so I at least could install either Silent Wings 2 or Multiframe S-Series.
As I know the very high quaility of those.
