Rock on band.gif

Just bought C3 over the holiday sale for four bucks or something, on my 9590 xfire 280x box it kicks ass, FRAPS says 43min/64max with vsync on, everything maxed 1080p.
I swear AMD cpu's almost get better with age, I can't find an easy way to track what threads are running what core but task manager and process explorer show good utilization on
all "cores". Exceeded my expectations again.

Crysis 3 has the best multi-threading out of any game I have ever seen. You can even play multiplayer with everything set to LOW and still get 99% gpu usage 100% of the time.

IMO this is the best game engine ever made.
The thing C3 lacks though, is good crossfire scaling, especially with the amd. Your 43 min/64 max isn't too far off from the 36 min/62 max i was getting on my single overclocked 280x.

What's your cpu and gpu utilization when playing?

I love the cpu usage in C3.... If you are running multi gpu and not getting 100% usage, you can try using a resolution timer app. Cut it all the way down and you'll see CPU usage go way up, and GPU usage with it.

I'll have to check but I believe cpu was 70 or so and gpu was 90 from process explorer. Will check.
I had vsync on (60hz) too btw.

Whatever they are doing, it works. Very enjoyable gameplay.

Updated the second post with Crysis 3 numbers.

Single player, I tried my best to do exactly the same thing for each run. Frame numbers are very similar so I must have done well.

EDIT: Playing around with the 4790K- managed a 5 ghz validation on 1.275 volts thumb.gif

Generally I've been bumping up the graphics settings to their highest and disabling V-sync.
Here are my settings for Crysis 3 Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

So this thread title is misleading. it says comparison of DC to Vishera. However each CPU is paired with not only a different GPU but a different GPU brand. Negating the results IMO. Too many variables that can take place, such as game performing better on Nvidia or AMD. Why not just throw one GPU in for all tests leveling the playing field and letting the CPUs speak for themselves? Also some of the tests do not have both CPUs in there, are they coming?
