[GT] The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Official PC Requirements - Page 14

That is true, but you can't hold it against CD Project Red if your rig won't run the game at playable framerate, even on the lowest settings. Hell, I expect my rig to barely pull 1080p with 4x MSAA and Ultra settings @ 45fps+, but I may have to lower textures or AA if the game is like Shadow of Mordor and seeks 6GB of VRAM to run @ Ultra textures, although SoM ran perfectly fine with Ultra textures @ 1080p on my 4GB GTX 980. I am also surprised system requirement are that low. It means the game is optimized, otherwise they would have posted very high system requirements and everyone with problems would be referred to those requirements. Instead, CD Project Red plans on addressing performance issue low-end rigs may be getting (hopefully not).

Witcher 2 with HD texture mods and Extreme Quality Flora mod brings my FPS down to 45 in several areas with Ubersampling enabled. There is 0 chance I can use Ubersampling in Witcher 3...

I still need to finish W1 and start W2 lol. I'm certain I can run this game on decent settings and playable frame rates smile.gif

This is one of the reason why I got an Nvidia card this time around, AMD just can't afford to bribe devs to optimize games for their cards.

The rest of your rig if perfectly fine, although I surely hope you overclock you 4770K to its maximum.
oh, i know i've got to upgrade the 660, lol

and yes, i have a moderate OC on the 4770k. i'm at 4.2 (all cores) and it never breaks 60 C. i'd go higher but i'm worried about long-term reliability. i don't want to have to replace this CPU for a long time.

It did the same with my system even without all the extra mods - all I did was setting all settings to max, including enabling Super Sampling/Ubersampling (whatever you want to call it). Game was dropping to less than 50 FPS in certain areas. It wasn't noticeable, though, unless I was looking at Fraps counter wink.gif
