What matters with a mouse is the sensor. Beyond that, it's personal preference. There are a few solid optical sensors out there (3310, 3366, 3988, etc), provided they aren't gimped. Angle snapping isn't always a dealbreaker, some don't mind it, but prediction is pretty much universally hated.
With that in mind, does it clear up the Rival vs G502 debate? Nope! The G502 is a 3366, the Rival is a 3310 and neither have angle snapping or prediction. So once again, it's back to personal preference.
If you look at common problems, the G502's feet seem to come off easily and there's an odd bug where some people lose tracking all together (Not overly common, but enough to warrant mention), whereas the Rival's scroll wheel sometimes comes a little loose and rattles.Edited by Blze001 - 1/8/15 at 5:56am
