Would suggest working around the cable of the G302, it would be a pity if that kills this mouse and its wonderful buttons for you. Some suggested a mouse bungee, would give it a try.

If all else fails, you could try peeling the g302's cord. As long as you don't let it hang (which shortens the lifespan of any cord anyway), it shouldn't take too much of a hit in durability. Not sure about warranty tho biggrin.gif
