arma 3 ram speed someone can test? - Page 2

standard stuff, this is why im still assuming its something else.

ive been tweaking and coding arma for years, and have dialed in the configs and settings to the max.
but still see same performance as the x 58... which is kinda insane considering.

4.0ghz 4 core vs 4.3ghz 6/12
should yeld better fps off the hop...

try the same server At the same time the load varies even being the same map

from what im reading i think HT is the culprit for most.

same happened on x58, HT off, forced arma to put more load on 4 cores, than worrying about the extra threads.
or so i assume.

im going to try that now, i bet 10-15+ fps with HT off and some power savings as well...who needs more than 6 core for now...

if that`s true then the true culprit is the developer which didnt program it for multithreads

i run at 25 fps + on a 100+ player server king of the hill

This game is singlethreaded all the FPS is Controlled be the first core the other load is probably just crap like audio and thing that dont case fps drop or anything.

my first core is at 70% at 4.8ghz

the other at best 10-30%

The game do not really benefit from more core if it was my friend with it 20core dual xeon workstation with 40 thread will be running at 60fps all time with it titan smile.gif

Seem the engine is in need of Singlethread and RAM speed Because the engine is a 32bit on and is already close to max out is ram usage so more bandwith help with that

just did arma3Mark altis, 69 fps average smile.gif
using the usual configs/settings

will do again with more OC and higher ram speed tighter timings.

actually my aida/riva overlay says "memory clock 1200mhz" what is that?
-meaning isnt it supposed to say 2400mhz?
