Yeah SLI might help but that goes down to how well SLI will be implemented and whether it will be supported on release.

No worries. By the time I've finished downloading the game on our glorious 3mbps connection, SLI drivers should be good. lachen.gif

  • "Sweet New Rides to Drive, Including a Monster Truck" - Those "rides" are also on the PS4 and Xbone. Not a reason to get it on PC.
  • Stage Elaborate Heists with Friends Online in Brand New Mode" - This will be on PS3, 360, PS4 and Xbone as well. Not a reason to get on PC.
  • Experience the Massive World of GTA in First-Person for the First Time" Really? That "feature" has been on the PS4 and Xbone since it was released on those platforms. Not a reason to get it on PC.
  • "Los Santos Has More Activities to Partake In" It doesn't have any more activities compared to the PS4 and Xbone version. Not a reason to get it on PC.

That list is terrible. The only features that are on PC only that they listed is the first one. Here is 5 real reasons to get it on PC.

  • Much better visuals - The same explaination as on the article. They did forget to mention higher frame rates. The PS3, 360, PS4 and Xbone all run the game at 30 fps. PCs will be able to run it at a much higher frame rate depending on your hardware and graphics settings. A Titan Z would probably be able to run it at 500+ fps on lowest graphics settings at 800x600. Consoles are capped to 30 fps.
  • In game video recorder and editor - This will be a PC exclusive. You will be able to record your own videos and edit them in game. GTA IV had the same video editor and if you know what you're doing, you can make a video that rivals Hollywood movies. Just look at Yeardley Diamond's videos on YouTube.
  • Mods - GTA Games have never really had proper mod support, but the GTA series is one of the most modded games series out there. In time, there will be tons of mods including ones that will make the already good visuals and make them better (Icehancer, EBN, etc.)
  • Rockstar Social Club features will be much better than on the consoles. The game will most likely have a built in Rockstar Social Club UI like in L.A. Noire and Max Payne 3 so you don't have to alt-tab out of the game to arrange a meeting in GTA Online. You can just open that and access your "life invader" page
  • Input options - The console versions are limited to one controller. While on the PS3 and 360 it's not do bad because it doesn't have a first person view, it's terrible on the PS4 and Xbone if you want to use the first person view. On PC, you will have the choice with if you want to use the keyboard and mouse or any controller that is supported by Windows. The keyboard and mouse controls will make the first person view significantly better.

I just don't know if I want this game any more, it came out so long ago it seems on 360. Yeah it's been totally overhauled, But a year and a half to make the PC version? (I secretly already think it's because they wanted the Next -gen console version sales to be high) otherwise if the PC version came out before the Xbone/ps4 versions, people would be like how come the PC get's a better version? (As console marketing goes like "this console is the most powerful gaming experience money can buy" and people buy that stuff and rockstars partners M$ and Sony don't want bad news)

Idk about that, seeing as money is a controlled item by R* (you can purchase gta money with real money) as are weapons and vehicles. I don't see us being able to add vehicles and weapons and changing their speeds/damage and stuff like that; as you could in GTA IV.

Agree. Too much potential money for R*. The only question is how much DLC will they release for this game. GTA 5 story DLC is in the works

Rockstar only controls how much money you have in GTA Online and you can only buy GTA money in GTA online. IIRC there is even a cheat code to get $250,000 in single player

Chances are the game can tell if you are using mods/cheats in GTA Online and the game will only let you join servers with other people using mods/cheats unless someone invites you to a server. Just like they did with GTA IV.

They have said in a FAQ that all future DLC for GTA V will be free for everyone. They get all the money to develop more DLC from people who buy the "Shark Cards"

Okay awesome, we know the release date and all the badass new features that will blow the consoles to kingdom kong.

But when can I actually pre-order it on steam so that it's locked to my account? I've only got so much spare money ya know? biggrin.gif

I know that single player wont be an issue, but I know when I modded my GTA IV (stats of cars and weapon damage) I could join any server and those stats would still apply to the MP Match and I could go mach 1 in a Sentnal and it had a mass of 1,000,000,000 lbs so when i would hit cars they would blow up and fly across the map. I just hope their are strict rules for cheaters because i worked hard for the millions I have acquired over time and have also purchased money and don't want to see noobies be millionaires on day 1.

From what I read of the article, the stuff they're talking about sounds very similar to the information they fed us about the next-gen versions, what exactly are they improving except unlocked fps and any resolution compatibility?

You can go ahead and disregard my statement about the "badass new features", as I forgot that the "next-gen" consoles already have what we'll be getting except for KB+M support and everything you mentioned.
