[NVision] Grand Theft Auto V on PC: Five Big Reasons You’ll Want to Play - Page 8

I highly doubt this will look better than the "next-gen" consoles, but one can only hope....60 fps might be the only thing extra we'll get.

Well and your choice of resolution...

I've recent swapped to 4k.. hoping I can atleast pull medium @ 4k on my 290x since this game isn't exactly amazing graphically

I don't think GTA V will be that demanding like everyone saying it will be in this thread.

The console's quality level will probably equate to High or a Medium/High mix on PC. Therefore things like 750 Ti, R7 265, and the GTX 660 that all hang around the PS4's general power levels can probably pull off that performance on 1080p @ 60fps.

That being said, I hope my 750 TI FTW is enough to handle GTA V at medium settings for 60FPS...

And add in the dx11 efficiency on cpu bound games on nvidia right now...

Dx12 isn't too far out either and will be industry standard, which will be good since amd will refocus instead of wasting time on the mantle sideshow. Bring on 16n, and gen2 hbm! I'll buy gta v for the pc as soon as I catch it around $30 or my patience wears out, whichever's sooner. biggrin.gif

I just hope my 680 can max this at 1080p, otherwise I'm going to want an upgrade & at the moment I have no budget for a new GPU.

Don't count on it, unless it's a 4GB 680.

This game will be very VRAM dependent.

That's what I'm worried about, just don't want to buy a 970 or a 980, as I think in few months time Nvidia are going to come out & say "hey those aren't proper Maxwell chips, these are the real deal" & release a real beast of a card. Which is pretty much what happened when I bought the 680, 6 months after I picked it up along came the 780Ti, don't wanna fall for that again.

I've never played a GTA game, really. I'm keeping an eye on this.
