its dependent on company and sometimes specific product, one company for example which has equal warranty on their own produce(1 year + 90 day when registered) if bought directly from them is Nintendo. For reference, refurb wiiu's are only 200$+5$ shipping, and the only thing missing from the refurb box compared to the deluxe box is like a 5$ gamepad cradle

I don't see the point in calling out Game Stop for it. I've heard plenty of people getting refurbished consoles from MS directly and having to resubmit multiple RMAs.

Been there. I had five different 360's, four of them refurbished straight from Microsoft. & to be honest with you, the last one that failed, I traded it to Gamestop and they took it tongue.gif Just another reason why not to buy a refurbished console from Gamestop.

everyone i know that bought a 360 had failures! eventually everyone reverted back to a ps2 because ps3s were still way too expensive for high schoolers living in the hood.

So this is why my Xbox I bought from them has a busted GPU thinking.gif

They refused to acknowledge it was their fault and I got stuck with dead unit number ~11 or something, they work as risers for things at least, lol. Bought an Elite model for $20 and that works much better. yessir.gif (BTW the Elite came from Goodwill)

I had a lot of luck fixing those. Most times it was heat related and some good thermal compound would fix them.

It would be nice to see GameStop slammed with a class-action over this. Probably won't happen though.

I can't blame gamestop. I bet 70% of you at one point traded in a failing console, red ring intermittent, cd drive failing, etc..., for cash or games. Would you rather they prosecute people for fraud or fix them and sell them again.

Maybe they should adjust their warranty to reflect a previously failed system to have a longer warranty or somthing. Preowned but fully working continue as currently advertised.
Not even surprised. Plus its the buyer's fault as well for buying used products of Gamestop. It doesnt just happen to Xbox 360 but to all consoles they sell used or as refurb.

Its only a matter of time before Gamestop shuts down. Its clock is ticking and Im just waiting when that moment hits because Ill be buying all the PS3 games for cheap lol

Yeah, I'm sure they covered their butt legally with something like "we can't guarantee that the console works, you buy it as is".
