Is this something that is in line with your experience? I am asking since the Rapid is not available in Germany anymore, only the Rapid-I and the Ultimate and I am kind of torn if I go for a Rapid-I, Ducky of Filco TKL.

As far as I'm aware, the reason the original rapid is rated so highly is because it uses Costar as its OEM (Costar is the OEM of several well known, high end brands such as Filco and Das). I don't believe the Rapid-I uses Costar so despite the similar looks, there's likely to be a difference in build quality and feel between the two (this is in line with reviews I've read that don't speak as highly of the Rapid-i as they did of the original Rapid).

I'm not saying the Rapid-i is a bad keyboard or anything. I've never used one so I'm simply going off the accounts of other people. I'm simply saying, if you can find a way to get one where you are, you can't go wrong with the original rapid.

That's pretty much what I read a couple of times, so it seems to be true that the QFR-I is a good board but not on par with the QFR.

QFR is discontinued keyboard, rapid-i is somehow 2nd generation. I used it some time, and like with other keyboards I didn't see any differences in build quality, nor different feeling while gaming on it.

i own the coolermaster TK and the Quickfire Ultimate. both are amazingly well built.. it depends on your personal preference. overall i think Coolermaster provide the best price for the mechanical keyboards.

i think sooner or later i'll buy a QFR-I with Cherry MX Red or Blue or even Black idk, to try other switches and also try a TKL which i don't really admire for now at least...
