Intro
This thread is about my not so new finished build. Will cover everything involved in it, up to today. Since DDR3, is still a great platform at the moment, those looking to build their rigs, might find themselves in the situation I was before, and here is how I came-by-mine. Will cover What I have come across and my own thoughts about some certain components I have used, and if anyone is leading towards those components, and find their-self here they can consider some advice here.
Note: Cannot guaranteed for perfect sentences written.

History
Some might be in my situation I was long time ago since I decided to build a desktop. The journey, begun on several threads here and here For the name of my build. I ended up with "KlistWhiteSpirit", only God knows how I came with that name, this wasn't mentioned in any of the threads though.
The links above states clearly that I ended up here for support, with Intel and AMD both making the same hardware stuff, I couldn't deal with the argument myself. Turns out Intel was the right choice for me, had no doubt to argue on that decision, but even though I like AMD I considered myself as an enthusiast, instead of a fan.

Within the process of the build, have used couple of motherboards, and two CPUs so far. The first one I bought was to test my components that were lying around, hence I wouldn't know whether they're faulty of not, went cheap on the CPU for that reason.

MSI Z97 Gaming 7-VII Hero-MSI Krait Edition Z97
The gaming 7 was my first mobo paired with Intel Pentium K, G3258: that thing overclocks like hell! At that time, even though I was thinking of purchasing a Deveil's Canyon CPU, If not only that some games support became an issue (COD AW, Far Cary 4), I would have still been using that chip, gaming wasn't an issue yet desktop was snappy!

Overclocking and features made me ended up with the VII hero. AI suite was my best software, along side the looks of the mobo, but since I had always wanted a white build, I was never going to like it much, even though it's such a great mobo that cured my screen tearing. Tearing became so minimal and almost gone when I got my hands on the VII hero, something the MSI Gaming 7 couldn't cure, I got a bit surprised, that screen tearing can be a factor of your mobo's brand and type. This is the same as my MSI Krait, screen tears when watching videos, making it an early notice that it's also possible in games.

The Krait had the looks I was waiting for a long time, and when I saw it review, I jumped onto it and call-it-a-day . For some, performance matters more than looks but for me I think it's the other way around, that's why I have never own a gigabyte mobo, since the looks isn't my as appealing . The Gaming 7, deep-blacks was outstanding, and the red-and-black of the VII hero is unbeatable, whereas the black and white of the MSI Krait was the perfect match up for my NZXT H440 "White".

Thoughts about dual GPU, became something of the past, when I used the R9 290 later on coming from the 290x, you must have a lot of patience to be able to use 2 or 3 of them in a closed case like the NZXT H440. The heat output of only my Tri X version(290) is unbelievable, during gaming, I couldn't be bothered to turn on my "heater/ radiator". You will need an air condition to be able to use 3x of these in the summer, they are that hot!

Have used the R9 280X recently: I was great at feeding my 144hz monitor at medium settings. Since I decided not to go with two of them due to heat output, I ended up with a single 290, which I can't be bothered to add another one to it, even if they come as cheap as it gets. My next GPU would definitely be an Nvidia GPU, want to try both worlds.

Main Build Parts
Intel i7 4790K Devils Canyon Sapphire R9 290 Tri X MSI Krait Edition Z97 M.B
Corsair Hydro H110 L.C 8+4GB RAM Hyper X Furry 750+1TB+256SSD HDD

Graphics Card Custom painted

Sapphire's Tri X has good looks compare to my Powercolor version which was never delivered, and ended up with the Tri X, after receiving my refund. Couldn't be bother to buy it again since the looks wasn't as great, even in my sketch custom paint, due to the view of the heat sinks from the top. Performance wise its the best along side the Vapour x, whose price is just not worth, over the Tri x.

Thanks for reading. Opened to any queries

I have been looking forward to seeing a build with a Krait motherboard, and it's beautiful! drool.gif
