My question still remains the same, how are you checking your temps? Just want to make sure your not burning the chip up without realizing. Being "sub-zero" at 5.0ghz 1.55v is unheard of unless your on Ln2 or live in a blizzard. Just making sure your aware. But to further check your stability. I recommend backing down a bit and running ITB AVX

A waterchiller i had made for my overclocking low rpm fan -10*c coils high rpm cooling the gasses it can climb down to -25*c so it holds my cpu cool also ive had it years and seen intel core 2 duo and. Core 2quad at -28*c idle delided with the chiller intake air at 10*c

i still think your vrm are throttling. and anyway, you'll still need to be colder for 5.2ghz. and a new board. you're pushing it as it is and i would never put 1.5v through one of the cheapest boards going.

Don't push past 1.5 on that board period, 1.5-1.5 is max recommended voltage to prevent the cpu from degrading in a realistic time table. Also using an external temp probe on the board is no way going to match the core temps period.

Have you researched these chip any? Look into that before just pushing it to its limit without and correct monitoring or hardware to push that high. Just trying to keep you aware that you could burn all your components potentially.

Going from a modest overclock on an 4100 from say 4.3 to 4.7 or even 5.0 isn't going to give you but a small increase in productivity, not worth it in your situation. Find a happy place around 4.5 and find a way to turn your core temps on, should be able to see them even with that board

BD/PD do not report temperatures correctly so what your temperature really is is just a guess.

I'm surprised your board hasn't caught fire yet.

You are trying to push 5.2GHz on a BD. AMD are far more fun to OC than Intel but even these chips have their limits and 5GHz is pushing it. You are being suicidal with both board and CPU, that's why I originally asked what the problem was as it's a great chip.

If you want to break records you will need to get an 8350 or 8370 and overclock that but you will also need to get a Sabertooth or Formula(-Z).
